Women's Basketball

Florida native Nikki Jessee joined Florida Poly in 2026 as the first head coach of its Women’s Basketball program. She took on the role with a stellar 25-year track record of coaching and playing success, eager to put her experience to work in shaping the new program.

Prior to joining Florida Poly, Jessee transformed multiple collegiate teams into winners, leading programs at Warner University, Saint Leo University, Lynn University and Martin Methodist College. She also was assistant coach at the University of Tampa, Tusculum College and Campbell University.

Under her guidance at Warner University in Lakeland, Florida, the team achieved its best record and second winning season in 20 years. At Saint Leo University in St. Leo, Florida, she led the team to an unbroken 10-10 record and its first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance.

A local product, Jessee began her playing career at Lakeland High School as an All-American before becoming a member of the Rollins College Hall of Fame and playing professionally with the Thames Valley Tigers in England.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, and a master’s degree in education from Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina.

She is excited to guide and build the Florida Poly Women’s Basketball team.
