Stephanie Bylander is the head coach of the Men’s and Women’s Cross Country programs at Florida Polytechnic University. She joined the program in 2026 after leading Florida Southern College’s (FSC) women’s cross country and track teams since 2018, following a three-year stint as an assistant coach.
In her eight seasons leading the FSC women’s cross country program, she guided the team to seven top-five finishes at the Sunshine State Conference Championship meet, including a runner-up performance in 2024.
In cross country and track, Bylander coached numerous athletes to conferences and both regional and national academic and athletic honors, All-SSC, All-NCAA South Region, USTFCCCA All-Academic, CSC Academic All-America, and CSC Academic All-District.
On the track, Bylander saw every distance record from 800m to10,000m broken during her tenure and helped launch FSC’s first indoor track program.
Bylander graduated from Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado, with a degree in exercise physiology and leisure science. The 10-time All-American ran professionally for Reebok, Brooks, and Boulder Running Company-Adidas, proudly representing Team USA at the 2005 World Half Marathon Championships and the 2006 NACAC Cross Country Championships.
Starting in Fall 2026, a pioneering group of Phoenix runners will hit the trails as Florida Poly embarks on its inaugural cross country season on the way to NAIA and Sun Conference membership.
