TJ Marik is the inaugural head coach of the baseball program at Florida Polytechnic University. His strong background as a coach and player gives Marik the robust foundation needed to build the program from the ground up.

Before joining Florida Poly in 2026, he served as head coach at Siena Heights University in Adrian, Michigan, where the baseball program earned its highest seeding in the conference tournament since 2012. The team also produced one Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Gold Glove winner.

Marik also served as head coach of Missouri Valley College’s baseball team in Marshall, Missouri. He guided eight all-conference players and saw two all-time school records broken at the college under his leadership.

Marik holds a master’s degree in educational administration from Missouri Valley College and a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights, Kentucky.

As a student-athlete at Northern Kentucky University, Marik dominated behind the plate and was named to the Johnny Bench Award Watch List, which recognizes the top NCAA catchers. He began his playing career at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Marik leads Florida Poly onto the diamond with a commitment to three main athletic values: perseverance, precision and pride.
