The Florida Polytechnic University Archery Team was founded by head coach Bruce Hicks while he still attended the university in 2018. The team started out as a small student led RSO focused on spreading archery knowledge within the student body to a full fledge usa archery sanctioned competition team with several community outreach programs.
While Bruce Hicks manages the team and ensures they are competition ready while giving back to the community the student coaches run daily practices to help archers work on their form and consistency. Each student coach has been with the team for at least a year, is a certified level 2 USA archery instructor, and was trained by Bruce Hicks to ensure they are capable to run practices and instruct newcomers in the basics of archery.
